[ 𝗔 𝗟𝗔 𝗨𝗡𝗘 ] Évolution Démographique de la Loire : Une Croissance Lente et des Défis à Relever
La Loire compte désormais 772 000 habitants, selon les données de l’Insee. Entre 2016 et 2022, la population a augmenté de 0,2 % par an, un rythme plus lent que la moyenne nationale. Ce gain résulte uniquement du solde migratoire positif, le solde naturel étant nul. Saint-Étienne reste la ville principale avec 172 718 habitants.
Voici le classement démographique des 10 plus grandes villes de la Loire (42) et l’évolution depuis le dernier recensement :

• Le Chambon-Feugerolles – 12,066 habitants
• Riorges – 11,045 habitants
• Andrézieux-Bouthéon – 10,187 habitants, +240
Le département bénéficie d’atouts comme sa qualité de vie, son dynamisme économique et culturel, ainsi que ses infrastructures éducatives et de santé. Toutefois, la croissance démographique ralentit, reflétant une tendance nationale marquée par une baisse des naissances et un vieillissement de la population.
Cette évolution démographique a des implications pour les politiques publiques locales. Elle influence les financements d’État, les besoins en services et équipements, et souligne l’importance d’attirer de nouveaux habitants pour maintenir l’équilibre économique et social du territoire.

À Rive-de-Gier, les commerçants, malgré les inondations d’octobre, restent optimistes. Les clients répondent présents par solidarité, contribuant à soutenir le commerce local pendant les fêtes de Noël, avec un réel engouement et un esprit de soutien mutuel.
À Saint-Étienne, la ressourcerie Chrysalide propose des jouets de seconde main à prix réduits pour Noël. Les familles peuvent trouver des cadeaux à moindre coût, tout en réduisant leur impact environnemental et en soutenant une démarche solidaire.

À Roche-la-Molière, une Volkswagen électrique ID.3 a percuté la devanture de la pizzeria Il Palazzo, jeudi à 17h, après une perte de contrôle. L’accident n’a causé que des dégâts matériels. La conductrice, sous le choc, a été secourue rapidement par les pompiers, tandis que la police a effectué les constats nécessaires.
𝑷𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆
La Ville de Roanne prévoit d’investir 28 millions d’euros en 2025, couvrant des projets tels que le musée, la voirie et l’éclairage public. Malgré les incertitudes budgétaires dues à la censure du gouvernement Barnier, le maire Yves Nicolin maintient ces investissements pour atteindre un total de 140 millions d’euros sur le mandat.

Dans le Pilat, la route départementale 503, gravement endommagée par les inondations d’octobre dans le Pilat, a rouvert après 300 000 € de travaux. Cette réouverture améliore les liaisons locales, mais d’autres axes, comme la RD7 et le pont de Chorieux, nécessitent encore des réparations importantes. Le Département mobilise 6 M€ pour ces projets.

À Saint-Étienne, un jeune homme de 19 ans est jugé pour “atteinte sexuelle” après une relation avec une mineure de 14 ans, malgré un consentement mutuel. La loi interdit tout rapport intime entre un majeur et un mineur de moins de 15 ans, soulignant la nécessité de protéger les enfants.
𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆́
La maison de santé de Firminy, installée dans l’ancienne demeure de Fraissinette, est prête à ouvrir début 2024. Elle comprendra quatre cabinets médicaux et un paramédical au rez-de-chaussée. Le projet, soutenu par la ville, vise à pallier le manque de médecins et à revitaliser l’offre de soins locaux.
